About This Work
(Aka scrap metal landscape with arthritic kneecaps). This was the last painting I was working on before lockdown no 1. It never got finished but I decided to use the studies, unfinished painting and source material to make a montage version using photoshop. This was then reworked using digital painting programs. Whilst these recycled works were born out of frustration at being isolated many miles from home there is a continuity with some earlier work where a dialogue was being created between digital art and traditional painting. In effect these are digital mixed media images.
